Rabbi Sammy Joseph

Rabbi Sammy Joseph joins The Opportunity Fund for Jewish Education from Joan Dachs Bais Yaakov-Yeshivas Tiferes Tzvi (JDBY-YTT) in Chicago, the largest Jewish school in the Midwest, serving more than 1,600 students. For six years, he helped lead Illinois Scholarship Tax Credit (STC) efforts, working with families, donors, schools, and community organizations to help make Jewish education more affordable and facilitating the distribution of more than 2,200 scholarships. Rabbi Joseph received semicha from Hebrew Theological College in Skokie, Illinois.

Sammy lives in Chicago with his wife and six children. Outside of work, he enjoys learning Torah and spending time with his family. Fun fact: while he spends his professional life supporting Jewish education and helping to alleviate the tuition burden on families, keeping up with six children may be the more challenging assignment.
