Eligible full-time K–12 Jewish day schools are encouraged to register. Schools affiliated with Prizmah, Torah Umesorah, Teach Coalition, and/or Agudath Israel will have a streamlined path to participation, while unaffiliated schools will be guided through the Fund’s onboarding process. Yes. A school can only participate and receive scholarship funds for eligible students if it is located in a state where the Governor has opted into the federal program. Governors have until December 31, 2026 to opt in.
Applications will open on January 1, 2027 for scholarships for the 2027–2028 academic year.
Participating schools will receive information and materials to share with their families before applications open.
Yes. Donors may designate their contributions to a specific participating Jewish day school. Those funds will support scholarships for eligible students at that school.
No. Federal law does not allow a contribution to be designated for a specific student or family.
Yes. Participating Jewish day schools will have access to a customized system where they can view scholarship applicants associated with their school and the amount of funds designated to support their school.
The amount of scholarship funding available will depend on total contributions and the number of eligible families who apply.
Schools will receive all scholarship funding from donations designated to their school. More information about how undesignated funds will be allocated will be shared after the federal regulations come out.
Yes. Scholarships may be used to help eligible students access disability accommodations and learning supports, subject to final federal guidance.
Participating schools must provide the information necessary to help eligible families access scholarships. We are working to make participation as simple as possible for schools. More detailed information about school responsibilities will be provided during onboarding.
